Raymond Concept Reach Truck
The Raymond Corporation and Brownlie Design have shared a close working relationship since 1984. During this time, Brownlie Design has been a key partner in the development of Raymond's line of world class forklift products.
Prior to the development and introduction of their current 7500 Reach Truck line, Brownlie Design, working closely with Raymond engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, designed and constructed a full scale "Concept" Reach Truck. This product was developed to establish a benchmark for ergonomic layout, product aesthetics, and manufacturing process possibilities. During the development of the concept, several innovations were adopted by the production design, including: aesthetic intent, aft oriented driving position, use of cast iron to replace costly weldments, innovative console material selection, and new mast configurations to improve user vision.
